What to expect

Your visit, step by step

We want your appointment to feel easy, welcoming and memorable from the moment you arrive.

1

Arrive and settle in

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete your consent and registration form. Please ensure all children attending are accompanied by at least one adult.

2

Get comfortable

Lie back on the scanning bed, lift your top to expose your belly and then a cold water-based gel is gently applied to your tummy. Paper towel is used to protect clothing.

3

Meet your baby

Watch together with your family and friends on the large wall-mounted screen as your sonographer begins the scan. Hope you brought some popcorn!

4

Keep the memories

Your digital images and videos are prepared and made available through a link sent by email to keep as lasting memories for everyone.

During your scan

01

Baby’s wellbeing

We take measurements, estimate baby’s weight, listen to the heartbeat and provide the heart rate.

The exact inclusions depend on the scan package selected.

02

Your choices

If you would like gender confirmation, we can look when baby’s position allows. Prefer a surprise? Tell us before the scan begins.

When gender is kept a surprise, we avoid the area so it remains a secret for everyone.

03

Photos to treasure

We capture digital images that you can download, email to family and keep as part of your pregnancy memories.

Image clarity depends on baby’s position, fluid and gestation.

Before you arrive

A few helpful tips

Wear comfortable separates, preferably a top with trousers or a skirt.

Bring family and friends to share this exciting moment with you.

Let your sonographer know immediately if you want gender kept as a surprise.
